New Tire Installation

We fit tires from all the major brands, and we will tell you honestly when the set you have still has life in it. Bring the car in or send us the size and we will quote you before anything comes off the vehicle.

What the job involves

  • Check your current tires for tread depth, uneven wear and any damage that points at a different problem — a cupped tire is usually a suspension question, not a tire question.
  • Mount and balance the new set, with valve stems or TPMS service kits where the vehicle needs them.
  • Torque the wheels to the manufacturer's specification with a torque wrench, not an impact gun.
  • Set the pressures to the placard on the door jamb, and dispose of the old tires.

When you need it

  • Tread is at or near 2/32" — the legal minimum in California
  • Cracking or bulging in the sidewall
  • A puncture in the shoulder or sidewall, which cannot be safely repaired
  • Tires more than six years old, whatever the tread looks like
