Frequently Asked Questions

The things people ask us on the phone, answered here so you don't have to.

Are you open on Sunday?

Yes. We're open seven days a week — Mon - Fri: 7:45 AM - 6:15 PM; Sat - Sun: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Sunday opening is unusual on this stretch of Sunrise Blvd, and it's the reason a lot of people find us in the first place.

Do I need an appointment, or can I just turn up?

Both work. Walk-ins are welcome and we will fit you in where we can, but booking a time means we have the bay and the tires ready when you arrive. For a flat, just call and come down — that is what we are here for.

Can you repair my flat, or do I need a new tire?

It depends where the damage is. A nail or screw in the tread is usually repairable with a patch-plug from the inside. Damage to the sidewall or the shoulder is not safely repairable, whatever anyone tells you. We will check it and tell you which one you have before quoting.

Do I have to buy four tires?

Not necessarily. On many vehicles two is fine if they go on the same axle and the tread depths are close enough. On all-wheel-drive cars the manufacturer often does require all four, because a mismatch strains the drivetrain. We will tell you which applies to your vehicle rather than defaulting to the bigger sale.

How long does a wheel alignment take?

Usually around an hour for a standard four-wheel alignment, longer if something in the suspension has to be freed off or replaced first. We run a Hunter alignment machine and give you the before-and-after measurements on paper.

What warranty comes with the work?

We are a NAPA AutoCare Center, so qualifying repairs are covered for 24 months or 24,000 miles on parts and labor, at NAPA AutoCare centers across North America — not only here. Tires carry their own manufacturer warranties, which vary by brand.

How often should I rotate my tires?

Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles suits most vehicles — many people have it done with each oil change, which is a simple way to remember. It is the cheapest thing you can do to get the mileage you paid for out of a set.

My tire pressure light is on but the tires look fine. What now?

Either a tire is genuinely low — they can lose pressure slowly enough that you will not see it — or a TPMS sensor has failed. Those need different fixes. We will read the sensors and check the actual pressures with a gauge before quoting for anything.

Do you work on electric vehicles?

Yes. EVs are heavier and put more load through their tires than a comparable gas car, and they often need EV-rated tires as a result. We have fitted plenty of Teslas and we have the equipment to lift and work on them safely.

Where exactly are you?

2668 Sunrise Blvd, Rancho Cordova, CA 95742. On Sunrise Blvd next to Staples, a short drive north of Highway 50. There is parking on site.
